The first few miles of yesterdays run were a slow jog. My calves have been really tight this week and I was hoping to loosen them up. After three miles the pace started to drop towards marathon pace and I carried this though the next 7 miles. I’m not sure how fast I was running but I’d guess in the 6:50 range. There was one extended stretch into the wind that was really uncomfortable but other than that I was warm.
