Week 3 of marathon training is complete. I ran little over 5.5 miles in the Wissahickon Park to end a decent week of running. I felt surprisingly good and had to reign in my pace a few times to keep it an “easy run”.
Goal for the week was 55 miles, and I ran 55 miles in 6 days. Tempo pace and lower on Tuesday night and a nearly marathon pace 8 miler on Friday night.
I have also gotten accommodations arranged for my trip to Boston. A train ride up on Amtrak, which I haven’t ridden in about 17 years, and a hotel room a subway ride away from the downtown. English Mike and I are making the trip together; hopefully we can get a few more on the train.
