There was a fresh coating of snow on my street this morning, which means the track is covered, which means the snow foiled another track workout. The snow cover wasn’t enough to prevent a tempo run so I decided to on that instead.
I built into the pace after a mile and a half warm up and stayed within tempo range for about another 5 miles. I did not measure the pace at any point but I think I was in the low 6:00s when the conditions allowed. Many of the uphills were coated in snow, which meant slower going, but still about the same workout. I finished with an easy mile and feeling good. 8.1 miles in 58 minutes.
